Ainsley turned 7 this year! I can’t believe that my baby girl is so big. We celebrated at home with cake, ice cream and presents.

School Christmas Parties
Connie went up to the school to hang out with Aaron, Abbey, Aidan and Ainsley while they had their Christmas parties. They had a lot of fun (wrapping each other in aluminum foil???) and enjoyed time with their friends before going on Christmas break.

I took Aidan and Ainsley to the park to hang out and play for a little bit. Ainsley had been sick for about a week, so she really needed to get out of the house… fun, fun!
scissors
So, after thinking that we were beyond the surprises that generally come with raising toddlers, we were proven wrong. Abbey and Ainsley got a pair of scissors and decided to cut their own hair. Nice!
girls just want to have fun!
Connie and the girls recently had a picnic and, on another day, hung out at Chuck E Cheese.. kind of a “girls day out” thing. Video and pictures below.

last day of school
On the last day of school, we enjoyed a Kindergarten presentation, Ainsley’s award ceremony and lots of class parties. All of the Kindergartners performed a few songs that they had been working on.. very talented! Ainsley had a great year, and was awarded the “Symphony” award for her musical abilities. Ainsley and her classmates took a trip to the Houston Zoo. Connie went along to chaparone. They had a great time looking at animals and spending time together.

The Friday before Spring Break was full of fun for the kids. For the parents, it is amazing that the school can schedule so many activities on a day when a lot of families are trying to get out of town for Spring Break… I guess for a family like ours, having 4 [...]

It was rodeo day at school, so Aidan, Abbey and Ainsley dressed up in their western duds…

princess party
Connie took Abbey and Ainsley to our local Chick-fil-a for a princess party. The whole store was decorated and full of little princesses. They got to take a limo ride and took some wonderful pictures. What beautiful little girls I have!
