Thomas Young

It is with deep regret and saddened hearts that we say goodbye to a dear friend and our pastor, Thomas Young, who went to be with his Heavenly Father today.  While I really don’t want to go into all of the specific details, his death occurred during a very tragic event and weighs heavily on my heart.  Rather than put all of the specifics in this post, you can go to www.theologyonfire.com for more of the details regarding his passing, funeral and fond memories of Thomas.  He touched thousands, if not millions, of people with his ministry, Young Endeavors, and for the past couple of years, founded and pastored our church, The Sanctuary Fellowship.  I will miss my friend and brother, but know that he is comforted today in the arms of our Father.

lone star bowl 2009

Aaron and the Packers defeated the Stafford Cobras in the Lone Star Bowl, 31 to 6!  What an awesome game…  Great way to end the season.  Aaron had a number of good blocks and hits (see the video below).  Way to go, Packers!  Aaron, great season.  I am looking forward to what you are going to do on the girdiron next year!

packers v. hornets – playoffs 2009

Wow, what a game.  Aaron and the Pack played the Lamar Hornets in the final bracket of the playoffs to see who would go to the Superbowl.  After a hard fought game, the Packers came up short in quadruple overtime, 30-32.  What a disappointing loss after such a hard fought game.  The kids were really upset, but they handled it with dignity.  The good news is that they will play the Stafford Cobras in the Lone Star Bowl.  The last time the Pack saw the Cobras, they were down 18-0 at halftime and came back to beat them 18-25.  It should be a challenging game, but they are up to the task!
