Aaron and the Pack lost a hard fought game against the top ranked Southwest Steers 0-7. It was a real disappointment, but the boys worked their tails off against a really excellent team.
I took the kids to the Fort Bend County Fair for some fun on the rides and to take in some of the attractions. We bumped into Ainsley’s friend, Kasha, who rode the ferris wheel with us. I was shocked at the fact that Ainsley would ride just about any ride… no fear at all! Geez.
Aaron and the Packers played the Pecan Grove Gators and beat them 44-0. Aaron had numerous tackles and 2 sacks (back to back). Since I was running back and forth between events, I was unable to get any pictures… Would have loved to at least get the sacks on film, but maybe next time! Way to go, Packers!!!
Adam participated in a Guitar Hero competition at the high school. Out of a field of 13, he came in 2nd place. Adam’s “real guitar” teacher, Steve, was also there. He rocked through the brackets to the finals, where he met his friend, Ryan. It was a really good duel (see the video below)! Way to go, Adam!!!
We celebrated Aidan’s 8th birthday this year. Wow, what a testimony of God’s faithfulness and grace. I can remember 8 years ago, sitting in the hospital in total despair because we weren’t sure if our little boy was even going to survive the night. He had so many complications and the doctors were trying everything possible to help him breathe. He spent many weeks in the NICU and when he came home, Connie and I really didn’t know what kind of challenges we would be confronted with. All we knew is that we were thankful that he was able to come home! Fast forward eight years, and we have a very intelligent 2nd grader that loves life. He has a few challenges that he deals with as an outcome of his birth, but he is a real miracle boy. Happy birthday, Aidan Boy! We love you!
