christmas 2008

We enjoyed Christmas morning with the kids at home and then went and visited with family over at Mike and Mary’s house.  The kids were very excited to wake up to find that Santa Claus had left them a lot of goodies.  Chris setup a webcam and streamed our Christmas morning to Germany so that his family could celebrate with us.  What a great way to bring cultures and countries together to celebrate!  We will finish out our holiday by taking a trip up to the Sangre de Christo mountain range in Colorado and enjoy some much needed rest and relaxation.

paintballing

Aaron’s friend, Ricky, invited us to his 10th birthday party to go paintballing.  Aaron, Adam, Chris and I went out and shot the place up.  We got all “camoed” up and played against some real Rambo looking opponents.  Everyone had a great time and we look forward to going out and doing it again before it gets too hot.  Adam wins the award for the best “ding”..  He took one right to back of his neck.  It left a really nice bruise!  Thanks to the Boehck’s for inviting us.

don and connie’s 15th anniversary

Connie and I celebrated our 15th anniversary a little early this year.  We are going to be in Colorado with the kids on the 30th, so we decided to celebrate a little early.  We went to Perry’s Grille and Steakhouse and enjoyed a nice meal.  Connie recieved a special gift this year… If you are interested in knowing what it is, you can ask her.   Don’t want to steal her thunder, if you know what I mean!  ;-)  Connie, I love you so much.  Thank you for a wonderful first 15 years and I am looking forward to the next!

school christmas parties

Well, the last day of school before Christmas holidays was very busy…  We had 4 parties to attend, 2 at 11:00 and 2 at 11:45.  We also had to pick Adam up from school at 11:30.  Our schedule was a bit squeezed, but we pulled it off.  Aidan’s class worked on building gingerbread houses and Chris was there to help him build a masterpiece.  Ainsley and Abbey’s class decorated Christmas cookies, with icing and all of the little sweet things that roll around all over the place…  Aaron’s class had a present wrapping contest, where each team of two had to wrap a present together with one hand each without talking…  Quite the challenge, given that I can’t even wrap a present with both hands and the ability to verbally whine about doing it…  We are excited about taking a break from school for the holidays!  Here is some video of the parties and pictures of the kids with their teachers.

ainsley’s birthday

We celebrated Ainsley’s 6th birthday at Chuck E Cheese..  The kids had fun playing games, eating pizza and spending time together.  I can’t believe that my baby girl is now 6 years old..  How time flies.  Here are a few pictures of the event.
