aidan’s birthday

Aidan turned 7 today.  While this may be very routine to many, let me take a few moments to ponder what a huge milestone that this is for him.  Aidan had many birth complications that led to some pretty severe anomolies that left him in the neonatal ICU for many weeks after his birth.  The first few days were critical, as we weren’t even sure that Aidan would make it or not.  We relied heavily on our faith, friends and family to help us get through that time.  Once he was able to come home, we still weren’t sure what kind of mental and physical challenges Aidan was going to have growing up.  Long story short, Aidan is here, 7 years later and is a very well developed and intelligent little boy.  Sure, he still struggles with impacts to his speech and some autistic tendencies, but he is here.  He is a testimony to miracles and God has a huge plan for his life.  Happy birthday, Aidan!!!  We love you!
