Here is the meaning of Christmas, according to the McGee kids… thanks, Linus!
Family Christmas Gathering
We got together with lots of family from both the McGee and Giddings side of the family to enjoy some good food and fellowship. We had a great time visiting and got to see some folks for the first time in years. Enjoy the pictures!
Ainsley’s Birthday
Ainsley turned 7 this year! I can’t believe that my baby girl is so big. We celebrated at home with cake, ice cream and presents.
School Christmas Parties
Connie went up to the school to hang out with Aaron, Abbey, Aidan and Ainsley while they had their Christmas parties. They had a lot of fun (wrapping each other in aluminum foil???) and enjoyed time with their friends before going on Christmas break.

Aidan’s Class Christmas Play
Connie, Abbey, Ainsley, Grandma and Grandpa attended Aidan’s class Christmas play at school. Aidan was an elf who got to take care of the naughty/nice list. They did such a great job! Merry Christmas!

Adam’s Winter Concert
Adam and the Lamar Junior High Honors Band performed their winter concert. It included such tunes as The Grinch, Rampage and the Nutcracker Suite. Adam rocked the “bone”!!!
YFU Christmas Party
Yoko and Connie attended an exchange program (Youth for Understanding) Christmas party at one of the host family’s home. Each student prepared a dessert from their home country… Yoko made some authentic Japanese pastries. Yum yum… They had a really good time getting together and celebrating the holiday season!

Lamar Mustangs JV Basketball
Connie and the boys went to watch Yoko play basketball today. WOW! I can’t even express how good she is. You’ll have to watch the video below to see it yourself. Go Mustangs!!!
Abbey’s birthday
Hard to believe it, but Abbey turned 10 this year! My baby girl is getting so big! We took Abbey out for lunch with Yoko, Aidan and Ainsley and then went shopping for some new clothes. Later, that evening, we came home and celebrated with birthday cake and ice cream. Nicole even Skyped in from Tennessee so that she could join us. Her cake was formed into one of her favorite things: penquins! Happy birthday, my sweet girl. I love you!
Snow in Houston?
Yes, we had gobs and gobs of snow today! Who’d a thunk it? Crazy stuff, but from around 9:00 to 3:00, it came down in sheets. It wasn’t cold enough to stick, but it was coming down hard enough for it to accumulate. Weird…
