Adam’s Birthday

Well, we postponed Adam’s birthday party because Connie was out of town visiting Nicole… then, we got really busy. So glad we finally got around to celebrating with Adam. This is the big 15! Yep, driver’s ed, high school, and all the trimmings that come with it. I can’t believe my first born boy is 15! Happy birthday, Adam! We love you!

Adam’s Band Ice Cream Social

Adam and the GRHS marching band had a family ice cream social so that we could meet with the new band director and listen to the band play and march. They debuted the new GRHS Fight Song (see video below) and showed us some of the marching fundamentals that they have been learning at camp. We are so proud of Adam and glad that he really enjoys marching and playing his trombone. He’s got some serious skills!!

Simon is here!!!

We are so thrilled to announce the arrival of Simon Nohl to America! Simon will be staying with us this year as an exchange student. We already have the pleasure of knowing the Nohl family. If you recall, Simon’s older brother, Chris, stayed with us in 2008 and 2009. Simon and Chris came back for a visit at the end of 2009, which was a lot of fun.  We are so blessed to be hosting Simon this year and look forward to his time in America.  Thank you, Uschi and Ulf, for entrusting us with your children!  The pictures below are from the airport when Simon arrived here.
